Regarding the letter “What will $25 million for Norwin stadium do for the area?” (Feb. 8, TribLive): Are you kidding me? I played junior/senior high and college football (mid ’60s-early ’70s) and and never saw anything close to the facilities that the Norwin football team enjoys now. If the school board is going to raise our millage rate, I would far rather see that resource applied to more special education programs for students with an individual education plan or advanced classes for gifted students. In my mind, that is a far better investment of our school tax dollars.
For the football players, investing more in a weight training program and speed clinics is a better idea.
