Letter to the editor: Harris telling lies
Share this post:
Kamala Harris is either a liar or is ignorant of the facts. She keeps repeating things that are known not to be true, e.g., “Donald Trump wants to be dictator,” “Trump said there will be a bloodbath if he doesn’t win,” “Trump called the Proud Boys ‘good people.’ ” etc. All proven to be false.
Here are few others:
“Trump will pass a national anti-abortion bill.” He said the opposite. She is also lying when she says she will sign a national right to abortion law. She can’t because Congress cannot pass such legislation. It would be unconstitutional.
“I lowered the maximum insulin co-pay to $35/month when my vote passed the Inflation Reduction Act.” Trump lowered it with a June 2020 executive order which expired in December 2023. The IRA didn’t take effect until 2024, and simply made Trump’s executive order permanent.
“I have a plan to lower prices.” Her plans, e.g., $25,000 for home buyers, expanded child tax credits, price controls, will increase both prices and debt.
“States have passed Trump’s anti-abortion laws.” Trump was not involved in any state’s legislation.
“Trump will implement Project 2025.” Trump has said he has no plans to implement it. Project 2025 was issued by the Heritage Foundation. Similar documents have been issued since 1980 and none have been implemented.
I could not find any of Harris’ Trump statements to be true. I’m continually amazed how many people believe her lies without checking the facts. Be a good voter and check out both candidates’ statements and track records.
