I am writing in support of Jamie Lingg, who is running for reelection to Murrysville Council. Lingg is currently the only woman on council and, notably, the only female candidate running this year who was not endorsed by the local committee despite having a nearly identical voting record to a male incumbent who received full endorsement.
This raises a serious question about the fairness and integrity of the endorsement process. If experience, service and a solid voting record don’t earn equal recognition, what does? The answer seems to lie in proxy voting, a practice that allowed endorsements to be manipulated behind closed doors, with votes cast on behalf of absent members, creating a process lacking transparency and accountability.
Lingg has been a strong, consistent voice for fiscal responsibility, property rights and limited government. Her record speaks for itself. She has earned the support of the community through action — not backroom deals.
The residents of Murrysville deserve a process that respects fairness and values contributions based on merit — not political positioning or insider influence.
Let’s support qualified, committed public servants who stand on principle and performance. Let the voters — not manipulated endorsements — decide.
Vote for Jamie Lingg for Murrysville Council.
