These are my reasons for being pro-choice and why you should vote for pro-choice candidates like Cherri Rogers in District 58:

I am pro-sex education and pro-birth control because that prevents unwanted pregnancies in the first place. I am pro-paid family leave, pro-fair minimum wage, pro-affordable child care and pro-child tax credit so that those who choose having a baby can afford to take care of that child. I am anti-government interference, anti-criminalizing doctors and anti-killing and punishing mothers.

The letter “Pro-choice hypocrisy” (Sept. 30, TribLive) confused personal choice with public health. To be vaccinated against covid was a public health issue. To have an abortion is not a public health issue.

I am pro-choice whether it is in my state or my country.
