Israeli President Netanyahu sent the Israeli army into Gaza; President Trump sends troops into Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Memphis, Portland and Chicago.

Netanyahu tried to starve out the Palestinians; Trump throws 500,000 Americans off food stamps.

Netanyahu bombed hospitals, killing health care workers; Trump takes away health insurance from over 10 million Americans, closes rural hospitals and fires thousands of health care experts.

Netanyahu killed over 200 journalists in Gaza; Trump hides embarrassing government reports, allows only approved reporting of the Pentagon, restricts White House briefings only to journalists he has approved, ends funding for public broadcasting and tries to throw off the air a comedian who irritated him.

Netanyahu bombed schools; Trump abolishes the Department of Education and cuts off government subsidies to universities.

Netanyahu struggles to escape indictment for corruption; the convicted felon Trump evades paying for his alleged crimes. And just as Netanyahu relies on the support of religious extremists in Israel, the utterly irreligious Trump takes up the cause of evangelical Christianity.

This country is not Palestine. But both leaders are barbarians spreading misery among the people they govern. No wonder they are such good friends. No wonder Trump pleaded to have him pardoned.
