Letter to the editor: Picking candidates who support abortion puts blood on voters’ hands

The writer of the letter “Do women’s lives matter to Republicans?” (Oct. 10, TribLive) intended to support abortion, but I think she failed to do so and instead proved that her mother needed a better doctor, not an abortion.

Before Roe v. Wade, medically induced abortions were performed when the life of mother or child was at stake, just as she stated. In today’s world, she would not have been born because an abortion would have been the easy choice.

Whether a plant or a fetus, if it’s growing, that’s proof of life. I do not believe in murder before or after birth, and to vote for a candidate who approves abortion on demand puts blood on my hands. All lives matter.
