Letter to the editor: Progressives have ruined Democratic Party

The progressives are the bane of our country’s existence. Look at how the they went on a cavalier political campaign for president of the United States by spending over a billion dollars.

If you look realistically at the last three-plus years the progressives time and again did the same thing with their spending and programs habits. Great ideas in theory but no substance. In the Bible they refer to building your house on a sand foundation; progressives do this all the time.

Progressives have tried since the early 1900s with witless ideas based on a premise of doing good for society. We are the government and are here to help you. How do you implement and fund these progressive fantasies and measure their effectiveness?

What they have done to my Democratic Party is a sin. Yet an inch at a time they have bamboozled the real Democrats and hide behind their banner. They politically threaten real Democrats from dissenting.

The Ivy League progressives are no more than “isms” and “ists” in hiding. Beware of the ides of progressives.
