Letter to the editor: Seal the border, deport the criminals

Official statistics recently released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement show the staggering number of criminal illegal immigrants allowed into our country over the past few decades. There are over 13,000 convicted of murder and over 15,000 convicted of sexual assault — in total, over 425,000 with criminal convictions. These numbers are counting only the migrants processed by ICE and released into the country with court dates years into the future; I’m assuming there are no accurate means of tracking them. And we have no idea how many criminals are included in the millions of got-aways.

This is pure insanity. To any potential Democrat voter reading this, what will it take to make you understand the danger of your party’s border policies? American citizens are being brutalized and killed, women and young girls are being raped, and children are being victimized by criminal aliens.

It’s long past time to seal the border and begin hunting down and deporting all criminal aliens, ending sanctuary cities, counties and states through whatever means necessary, and deporting all aliens with fraudulent asylum claims. America has enough homegrown criminals without importing more.

There is only one candidate in this presidential election cycle who has stated that this is a top priority. Vote wisely; this election is much more than a personality contest. Your life, or the life of someone you love, could depend upon the outcome.
