I was mentally going over the state of the “United States” at this present time, Congress not getting a budget passed at the top of the list. I had a thought that if all Congress members would not be paid or receive health insurance or any of the “allowances” they are given when in office until the budget is passed, they would understand what their constituents are going through.

The money they normally would receive would be put back in the Treasury to continue paying the normal budget. I feel this would help them realize the burden of the citizens of the “United States.” This should also apply to whoever is president at the time, making them realize the importance of putting the people first and helping to secure a budget.
