Letter to the editor: Tiresome politics

Drained, bored, tired, ingesting NoDoz and energy drinks in pale chance of getting gusto. The drudgery of understanding presidential politics could have a lot of people feeling kinda blue. That’s in the sad, dreary sense. Not the political red or blue. It’s so important to specify details.
During the presidential debate, the mellifluous debate with that thing better left unsaid, the thing about people eating pets, that thing that was so tasteless, abusive, bigoted and also had people laughing like hyenas, there may have been an unnoticed spate of omission.
Willowy in the debate was the recondite state of diplomatic relations with the EU, or with China, or with Russia, or any other place that might be, as they say on the Continent, “in bother.” Countries may have been mentioned, but global working relationships are a complicated, ticklish little mess these days. Diplomacy has been, IMHO, crapola for decades.
Foreign relations are changing rapidly in a global mass freak-out. It can be real hard to get a grip on. By the end of the day, the caffeine is wearing off, and it’s time for happier topics. It’s tiresome having to monkey with a ton of details one has no control over. I suggest being somewhat active and well informed, and, that aside, sleep tight, wake up happy, stay that way. Thanks for reading.
