Attaching any word to “Christian” or to “Christianity” limits what it means or in some cases makes it not “Christian” at all (i.e., Christian nationalist). A portion of the country and a great many of our political leaders will defy logic and contort themselves, often comically, but ultimately tragically, to avoid acknowledging clear truth.

Jesus is the original DEI guy. Diversity, equity and inclusion are central to Christianity, as are faith, hope and love. We need to cast aside the efforts to divide us and look beyond the media and political propaganda and get back to truth, justice and morality.

Some say this is what they want, but their actions belie their words. We need to scour our communities and seek out candidates of good character, who are moderate in their thinking and who look for compromise and agreement to better serve their constituents and humanity. Out with the old and in with the new to reset our politics in line with the wonderful outline put forth by the country’s founders.
