The total popular vote in the 2020 presidential election was 155,506,285, according to the Federal Election Commission. Joe Biden received 81,282,916 popular votes. Donald Trump received 74,223,369 popular votes.
As of this writing, the total popular vote in the 2024 presidential election was 145,567,700. Kamala Harris received 70,916,946 popular votes, or 10,365,970 less than Biden received in 2020. Trump received 74,650,754 popular votes, or 427,385 more than he received in 2020.
The question becomes: Why the 9,938,585 net vote loss (-10,365,970 vs. +427,385) in 2024 vs. 2020? Where did 9.93 million votes of 2020 go in 2024? Did almost 10 million voters decide to sit the 2024 election out? Did dead Democrats that voted in 2020 not vote in 2024? Was the mail-in ballot box stuffed in 2020?
