Shaler Area School District is holding its class of 2023 graduation ceremony at 7 p.m. June 2 at 7 p.m. at Louis C. Martig Field at Titan Stadium.

The senior class includes some 291 students. The ceremony is limited to ticketed guests, but a spokesperson says the ceremony can be viewed via live stream on the district’s YouTube channel: youtube.com/@SATVArchives.

The commencement ceremony will feature student speakers Jacob Grabowski, class president; Raymond J. Wagner, class representative; and Isabella Drischler, summa cum laude, as well as superintendent Dr. Sean Aiken, principal Dr. Timothy Royall, and school board president Dr. April Kwiatkowski.

The district has announced that if weather forces commencement cancellation, decisions will be made by 5:30 p.m. and will be announced on its website as well radio and TV stations between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Make-up dates are June 3 (11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m.) and June 4 (2 p.m.). If commencement is unable to take place on one of these two dates, it will be canceled and diplomas will be mailed.
