John “Sonny” Vaccaro of Trafford can be seen here in the center, posing in a late-1950s Trafford High School varsity basketball photo. Despite being the man who signed Michael Jordan and revolutionized the athletic shoe industry, “I was the worst player on every basketball team I was part of,” Vaccaro said with a laugh.
