Looks like Antonio Brown is set to break another NFL record.
According to league sources — via ESPN’s Adam Schefter — the former Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raidersand New England Patriots wide receiver could become the first player in NFL history to file nine grievances and appeals at one time.
The idea behind Brown’s move is to try and get some of the over $61 million he believes he has coming to him.
The list of issues includes:
• Salary guarantees (Raiders) for $29 million
• Option year, 2020: (Patriots) for $20 million
• Signing bonus (Patriots) for $9 million
• Signing bonus (Raiders) for $9 million
• Salary guarantee (Patriots) for $1 million
• Unpaid Week 1 salary (Raiders) for $860,000
• Fine appeals (Raiders) for $215,000
• Unpaid Week 3 salary (Patriots) for $64,000
Note that none of those appeals involves the Steelers.
In addition to those eight, Schefter says a ninth one could come if the NFL ends up suspending Brown over the sexual assault and sexual misconduct allegations from two different women. Brown could appeal that and make him the first NFL player to file nine different appeals in a single season.
On Saturday, Brown was involved in a mini Twitter war with Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.
It all started with a Mayfield Instagram post.
When someone replied to the post with “Win football games. That speaks louder than these AB’ish style posts …”, Mayfield responded with, “you’re right… let me call out my teammates and throw a fit about my helmet then go freeze my feet off.”

Brown was released last week by the Patriots. He’s now an unrestricted free agent, and eligible to sign with any team.
