Atlantic 10 reveals 2022-23 men's basketball schedule for Duquesne, 14 other schools
With the addition of Loyola Chicago to the Atlantic 10, the Duquesne men’s basketball schedule will have a slightly different look for the 2022-23 season.
With 10 players who weren’t on the team last season, the Dukes and sixth-year coach Keith Dambrot will play four schools — Fordham, Massachusetts, Saint Joseph’s and St. Bonaventure — twice in a home-and-home series. Those opponents were reduced from five because of Loyola Chicago’s first-year membership.
Each school will play the other 10 opponents once, for a total of 18 league games for the ninth consecutive regular season.
The Dukes will play UMass twice in the regular season for the first time since 1994-95 and St. Joseph’s twice for the first time since 2000-01. Fordham and St. Bonaventure were two-time opponents last season.
Atlantic 10 regular-season defending champion Davidson will visit Duquesne at its UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, along with George Mason, Loyola Chicago, Rhode Island and VCU. Road games will be scheduled at Dayton, George Washington, La Salle, Saint Louis and Richmond, the A-10’s 2022 tournament champion.
Dates, times and national television information will be released at a later date.
The 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship — with all 15 schools competing — will be held March 8-12 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
