The Penn State men’s basketball team currently is scheduled to visit Purdue in Big Ten Conference play Sunday afternoon.

Now, the Nittany Lions know when they will play previously postponed conference home games against Rutgers and Wisconsin.

The conference Wednesday announced an updated January schedule for Penn State, which also includes an adjusted date for an upcoming road game against No. 14/13 Illinois.

The Nittany Lions and Fighting Illini now will play Tuesday as the second game of a doubleheader on the Big Ten Network. The teams will tip off at 8:30 p.m.

Penn State’s game with Rutgers has been set for Jan. 21. Ninth-ranked Wisconsin will play at the Bryce Jordan Center on Jan. 27. Both games will be on the Big Ten Network with start times to be announced.

The Nittany Lions recently paused team activities because of a positive covid result within the program. Games with Ohio State (Jan. 6) and Michigan (Jan. 9) were postponed as a result, and rescheduled dates for those matchups have yet to be released.

Penn State is 3-4 overall with an 0-3 record in Big Ten play. The Nittany Lions last played Dec. 30 and suffered a close 87-85 loss to Indiana in Bloomington.
