On Tuesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, a woman being honored as the White Sox’s “Employee of the Month” threw out a rather errant ceremonial first pitch for the home team against the Kansas City Royals.

There’s an old saying: “They couldn’t do that bad if they tried.”

The adage was put on full display Tuesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago.

A woman, who was honored as the White Sox’s “Employee of the Month” threw out the ceremonial first pitch for the home team against the Kansas City Royals, according to The Comeback.

Let’s just say it didn’t go as planned. The throw went left and and somehow clonked the cameraman.

Nonetheless, the valued employee made her daughter proud.

Deadspin described it as “quite possibly the worst” ceremonial first pitch ever.

Agreed that throw was pretty bad, but she’s in “good” company.

Remember former Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory’s misfire from 2007?

How about Carl Lewis’ five-bounce trickler to home plate?

Speaking of wildly left. Look at 50 Cent.

The White Sox won both games in what turned to be a doubleheader from Monday night’s rain delay; 2-1 and 4-3, respectively.
