Duquesne game at Saint Louis postponed after covid outbreak among Billikens

Duquesne’s misfortune with the coronavirus continued Wednesday morning when Saint Louis postponed its game with the Dukes after a covid-19 outbreak within the Billikens team.
The Atlantic 10 opener for both teams, scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. Wednesday, is the Dukes’ fifth that has been canceled or postponed because of covid-19 issues.
“I can’t catch a break,” coach Keith Dambrot said.
The Billikens have paused all team activities due to positive COVID-19 results within the program. Tonight's game against Duquesne has been postponed. The A-10 will communicate additional changes to SLU's upcoming schedule.

The Dukes (1-1) haven’t played since Dec. 2, an 81-68 victory against UNC Greensboro and the second of two games they played in a bubble format in Louisville.
Several Duquesne players and staff members contracted the virus over the past month, forcing the team to pause activities and go two weeks without a full practice. Dambrot has suggested the outbreak started in Louisville.
After daily testing turned up no new positive results, the team was cleared to travel to St. Louis, Dambrot said. The team arrived Tuesday before the game was postponed.
After the Dukes return from St. Louis, they will begin preparations for their next scheduled game Saturday at George Washington.
