Duquesne plans tour for fans to get close look at its Atlantic 10 men's basketball trophy
Duquesne’s Atlantic 10 men’s basketball championship trophy is going on tour.
The athletic department announced Tuesday where the trophy will be on display at various sites throughout the region. The 2023-2024 Dukes and coach Keith Dambrot claimed the trophy in March by winning four games in four days at the A-10 Tournament, including a 57-51 victory against VCU in the title game.
The first opportunity will be from 5 to 7 p.m. May 28 at Helltown Brewing Taproom in the Strip District.
Other planned sites and times are from 5 to 7 p.m. June 12 at Big Springs Spirits in Sewickley and from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at Mike’s Beer Bar on the North Shore. The latter event will be before Duquesne Day at PNC Park when the Pittsburgh Pirates meet the Miami Marlins.
The athletic department said additional sites and dates will be added to the tour at a later time.
