Duquesne’s 2022 football schedule includes a pair of intriguing Football Bowl Subdivision opponents in addition to a seven-game NEC slate.
The Dukes will open the season Aug. 27 in Tallahassee, taking on Florida State for the first time in program history.
Duquesne also will travel to Hawaii for a Sept. 17 game. It will be the Dukes’ second trip to the island. They fell to the Rainbow Warriors, 42-21, in 2018.
The Dukes will play NEC home games against Merrimack (Oct. 8), LIU (Oct. 29), Sacred Heart (Nov. 5) and Wagner (Nov. 19) at Rooney Field. The game against Merrimack will be Homecoming and Family Weekend.
Conference road games will be at Bryant (Oct. 1), Central Connecticut (Oct. 22) and St. Francis, Pa. (Nov. 12).
Duquesne also will play a nonconference road game at Youngstown State on Sept. 3.
The Dukes, led by 18th-year head coach Jerry Schmitt, went 7-3 last season and finished second in the NEC.
Season ticket information, game times and TV/streaming details will be released at a later date when the complete schedule is released.
