Fantasy sports podcast: Impact of the Mookie Betts trade, Josh Bell’s future, quarterback movement

Hey, Red Sox fans. Welcome to how the other half lives.
OK, maybe not the other “half.”
How about the bottom of the lower third?
Whatever. This is what it is like to be a small market team, Boston. Selling off your best players in the prime of their careers.
In Pittsburgh, we’ve seen it with Gerrit Cole and Starling Marte recently. Now you are seeing it with Mookie Betts.
Yeah. Stinks doesn’t it?
The difference is, your team could actually afford your guy.
Ha! How about that?!
OK, the Pirates could’ve afforded their guys, too. At least for a little while longer. But you get the point.
Regardless, beyond the massive impact on the field, in the standings, and throughout the financial structure of baseball when it comes to the trade of Betts to Los Angeles (with Minnesota factored in as well), there will be major fantasy league implications of the Betts trade.
That’s where our friend Jeff Erickson of Rotowire comes in. He’ll tell us what the ripple effect of that trade will be for fantasy owners and how you should adjust your drafts.
How will Betts handle the move to L.A. and the National League West as opposed to the American League East? We also dive into what Kenta Maeda will do in Minnesota and how the Red Sox lineup will adjust without their All-Star outfielder.
We have plenty of football talk, too. Specifically, we look at some Super Bowl fallout, the quarterback dominoes that may fall this offseason, and the potential for more Patrick Mahomes championships.
