The Cleveland Browns’ Denzel Ward separates the ball from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Gunner Olszewski during a play in the first quarter of Monday’s game at Acrisure Stadium. Olszewski suffered an apparent concussion on the play and is not available for Sunday’s Steelers game at the Las Vegas Raiders.

After missing the entire week of Pittsburgh Steelers practice, Gunner Olszewski was officially deemed out of Sunday night’s game at the Las Vegas Raiders.

But no other Steelers on the active roster will be prevented from playing, according to the final status report of the week.

Olszewski was in NFL concussion protocol after absorbing a hit early during Monday’s win against the Cleveland Browns. The five other players who missed practice Wednesday while nursing less serious injuries — starting safeties Minkah Fitzpatrick and Damontae Kazee, veteran defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi, rookie tight end Darnell Washington and backup outside linebacker Markus Golden — all were given a designation that they are cleared to play against the Raiders.

Fitzpatrick had been evaluated at a hospital after suffering a chest injury Monday, Kazee had a minor calf ailment and Golden and Washington were listed as having knee injuries. Ogunjobi, as has been the case for almost the entirety of the past two seasons, was on the injury report because of his foot.

“I kind of got tripped up or whatever on a play,” Washington said. “Just being cautious about it, just being a pro. That’s the difference between college and here. Here, it’s about staying available, really just being a pro about just getting a little rest day, whatever it may be — and get right back to it the next day.”
