Shown after a game in Denver during Week 2, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Donte Jackson left Sunday’s game at the Washington Commanders because of a hamstring injury.

Jaylen Warren sat out Thursday’s Pittsburgh Steelers practice, a surprise addition to the injury report because of a back ailment.

The complementary running back to Najee Harris, Warren sat out three games earlier this season because of a knee injury. Warren joins veteran cornerback C.J. Henderson — who has not been active for a game this season — as additions to the injury report Thursday. Henderson has a back ailment.

It had already been known that an ankle injury would keep starting outside linebacker Alex Highsmith out of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Harris, receiver Van Jefferson and cornerback Donte Jackson were upgraded Thursday. Harris, who sat out Wednesday because of an ankle injury, fully participated. Jefferson (quad) and Jackson (hamstring) returned to practice on a limited basis.

Perhaps the most encouraging aspect of Thursday’s injury report for the Steelers is that Nick Herbig was a full participant for the second consecutive day. He is in line to return from a four-game absence because of a hamstring injury and start in place of Highsmith.

Reserve tight end MyCole Pruitt was apparently healthy enough to practice but sat out Thursday to rest. A 10-year veteran, Pruitt has been bothered by a knee injury this season.
