Kevin Verpaele, a Class of 2027 quarterback, announced his commitment to Pitt on Tuesday afternoon.

Verpaele becomes coach Pat Narduzzi’s fourth verbal commitment for the 2027 class, joining offensive lineman Colin Urrea, receiver Jacob Thomas and tailback Tyler Reid.

A native of Merritt Island, Fla., Verpaele picked up an offer from Pitt over the summer. The Panthers were the first Power Four program to do so, while Verpaele also had offers from UMass, Western Carolina, Mercer, Miami (Ohio) and others.

Verpaele is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect.
