Mark Madden, Tim Benz: For Steelers, is it Devlin Hodges or Mason Rudolph?
“Madden Monday” this week starts off talking about a Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback controversy between Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges.
It ends with a conversation about “Man in the High Castle.” That’s a television show set in an alternate reality in which the Allied Forces lost World War II.
I’m not sure which set of circumstances is more frightening.
In between, Mark Madden and I discuss how the Steelers relied on the defense to bail them out again against a winless Bengals team in Cincinnati Sunday.
We also dive into the pathetic playoff picture for the AFC. And we debate whether or not Cleveland fans should be mocking Rudolph in the manner that they are.
Then we look at the state of the Penguins, particularly how they shape up against top of the Metro Division. The Capitals and Islanders have been great to start the year. How long can they keep up their paces?
Plus, we tear into the weekend defeats of the Pitt and Penn State football teams.
Maybe in an alternate reality, Penn State could win a road game against a top-five conference opponent and Pitt could complete a season with some momentum.
