Mike Tyson is back in the gym, and let’s suffice it to say that he’s still got it.

Explosive is an understatement that can can be verified courtesy of Iron Mike’s official Twitter account.

The 53-year-old former world heavyweight boxing champion spoke about a comeback with Atlanta rapper T.I. on Instagram Live recently.

“I’ve been hitting the mitts for the last week,” Tyson said. “I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape. I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three- or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff. Some charity exhibitions. Make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected (expletives) like me.”

In a span of four seconds, Tyson releases six power punches — with pauses — to a heavily armored trainer who exclaims, “K.O.” after his mitt is on the receiving end of a vicious right cross.

Tyson, who hasn’t fought professionally since 2005, finished with a 50-6-2 record. Forty-four of the wins came via knockout.

He was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame in 2011.

Fellow former heavyweight champ George Foreman told World Boxing News that Tyson should stay retired.

“Tyson has done enough great things for boxing,” Foreman told the publication. “No more is needed.

“He is in the Hall of Fame and was a mighty puncher.”
