Millersville ends Seton Hill’s baseball season in NCAA Super Regional

Millersville’s potent bats ended Seton Hill’s baseball season Saturday, sending the Griffins to an 11-6 loss in Game 2 of an NCAA Super Regional.

Millersville (45-8) swept the best-of-three series and heads to the NCAA Division II tournament in Cary, N.C.

Like Game 1, Seton Hill (48-13) jumped out to an early lead, this time taking a 4-1 advantage into the fourth inning. Noah Sweeney had an RBI single, Joe Fiedor delivered a two-run single, and Logan Vietmeier provided a sacrifice fly.

Millersville responded with 10 runs over the next four innings.

Sam Morris went 3 for 5 with a double and four RBIs. Keegan Soltis and Matthew Williams homered.

Owen Sabol went 4 for 5 and Vincenzo Rauso had two hits for the Griffins.

Garet Blankenbiller pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win for Millersville. Starter Aiden Layton allowed five runs on seven hits in 4.2 innings to take the loss. He struck out six.
