Minkah Fitzpatrick, Keanu Neal, Montravius Adams among Steelers missing practice
Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and defensive lineman Montravius Adams continued to miss Pittsburgh Steelers practice, and three days after suffering a rib injury that forced him to leave a game, Keanu Neal also did not practice on Wednesday.
Fitzpatrick, an All Pro safety, has missed the past two-plus games because of a hamstring injury. Adams, a defensive lineman, did not play during this past Sunday’s win against the Green Bay Packers because of an ankle injury. Neal, a safety, suffered a rib injury late in that contest.
Also not practicing Wednesday according to the league-mandated injury report was wide receiver Diontae Johnson, defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, guard Isaac Seumalo and cornerback Patrick Peterson. Seumalo and Peterson were given veterans’ off days, and Johnson (thumb) and Heyward (groin) played through their ailments against the Packers.
Tight end Pat Freiermuth was listed as a limited participant in practice on the day he came off the injured reserve list. Freiermuth hadn’t practiced in more than a month because of a hamstring injury.
The Steelers play at the Cleveland Browns in an AFC North showdown on Sunday.
