Minor league report: Goaltender Tristan Jarry leads Penguins past Crunch
In his season debut at the American Hockey League level, goaltender Tristan Jarry made 32 saves on 34 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-2 win against the Syracuse Crunch at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, the Pittsburgh Penguins sent Jarry to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on a conditioning assignment. His most recent AHL appearance was with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in a 10-6 road loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on April 7, 2019.
Forward Tristan Broz had a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (4-2-0-0) while forward Emil Bemstrom and defenseman Mac Hollowell each contributed two assists.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Bridgeport Islanders on Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Making his ECHL debut, goaltender Sergei Murashov made 16 saves on 20 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-4 road win against the Reading Royals at Santander Arena in Reading.
Forward Mathieu De St. Phalle had a goal and an assist for Wheeling (2-1-0-0) while linemate Jack Beck recorded two assists.
