Minor league report: Nailers drop Game 1 to Walleye in overtime

Goaltender Jaxon Castor made 33 saves on 35 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Toledo Walleye in Game 1 of a Central Division final series at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Forward Jordan Martel scored the only goal for Wheeling.
Former Nailers forward Brandon Hawkins scored the winning goal at 10:51 of overtime. With the victory, the Walleye set an ECHL record for longest winning streak spanning the regular season and postseason at 19 games.
Game 2 of the best-of-seven series at Toledo is scheduled for Saturday, 7:15 p.m.
