Minor league report: Nailers, goaltender Tommy Nappier shut out Wings

Goaltender Tommy Nappier stopped all 17 shots he faced and led the Wheeling Nailers to a 5-0 shutout of the Kalamazoo Wings at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo, Mich. on Saturday.

Forward Cédric Desruisseaux scored two goals for Wheeling (11-10-0-0) while forward Gianluca Esteve contributed a goal and an assist.

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Indy Fuel on Wednesday, 7 p.m.
