Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry made 34 saves on 35 shots in a 2-1 overtime win against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Forward Tristan Broz scored at 3:00 of overtime to give the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 2-1 win against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Goaltender Tristan Jarry made 33 saves on 34 shots in the victory. Currently assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for conditioning purposes, Jarry remains undefeated (4-0-0) at the American Hockey League (AHL) level this season.

Forward Marc Johnstone scored in regulation for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (7-2-0-0), which has won four consecutive games. Former Mercyhurst defenseman Philip Waugh made his AHL debut, opening the contest on the left side of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s third pairing.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Phantoms on Friday, 7:05 p.m.


Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 18 saves on 20 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-2 win against the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati.

Forward Sam Houde scored two goals for Wheeling (4-3-0-0) while linemate Jordan Martel contributed a goal and two assists.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Trois-Rivières Lions on Friday, 7:10 p.m.
