Pitt men’s basketball added an experienced point guard from the transfer portal Monday when coach Jeff Capel got a commitment from Oregon State’s Damarco Minor, according to ESPN.

Minor, a 6-foot guard, averaged nearly 10 points along with 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds last season for the Beavers. He shot nearly 40% from the field, including 28.2% from 3-point range.

Minor, a Chicago native, began his college career at the junior college level at South Suburban College. He then played two seasons at SIU-Edwardsville before transferring to Oregon State.

During his three-year career, he has amassed more than 1,300 points, 600 rebounds and 350 assists. Minor helped the Beavers to a 20-13 record and a trip to the College Basketball Crown tournament this past season.

Minor is the fourth player to transfer to Pitt this offseason, joining former Iowa State shooting guard Nojus Indrusaitis and center Dishon Jackson as well as former South Alabama shooting guard Barry Dunning Jr.
