For the third straight Saturday, ESPN personality and Plum native Pat McAfee planned to livestream ESPN’s “College GameDay” on his personal X account, @PatMcAfeeShow. He’s been offering the alternative feed in previous weekends because of Disney’s dispute with YouTube TV.

But Disney and YouTube TV reached a deal Friday evening to end the blackout of ESPN and ABC, according to Variety. McAfee called the deal “huge news” on X Friday night.

College GameDay is broadcasting Saturday in Pittsburgh before the Pitt-Notre Dame game.

YouTube TV subscribers discovered that Disney-owned channels — including ABC — had been removed from the platform amid the ongoing carriage dispute. Along with ABC affiliates and cable networks such as ESPN, Freeform and Nat Geo, several non-Disney stations, including WTAE, were also dropped.

The No. 22 Panthers (7-2, 5-1 ACC) and No. 9 Fighting Irish (7-2), whose highly anticipated matchup will kick off at noon, were ranked in the latest College Football Playoff release this week. Both teams are riding lengthy winning streaks into Saturday’s showdown.

Pitt has appeared on “College GameDay” four times. That includes Sept. 1, 2022, a Thursday season opener and the first installment of the Backyard Brawl since 2011.

The Panthers beat West Virginia, 38-31, that night.

But Pitt hasn’t hosted a weekend game at home for “College GameDay” in decades — since Sept. 3, 2005.
