Pittsburgh Penguins rookie goaltender Sergei Murashov was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.
In corresponding transactions, veteran goaltender Tristan Jarry and rookie forward Ville Koivunen were activated from injured reserve and rejoined the active roster.
Recalled to the NHL roster Nov. 4, Murashov appeared in four games and posted a 1-1-1 record, a 1.90 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and one shutout.
At the AHL level, Murashov has appeared in seven games and has a 5-2-0 record, a 1.73 GAA, .931 save percentage and one shutout.
Jarry was placed on injured reserve after suffering an undisclosed injury during a 4-3 road loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Nov. 3.
In seven games this season, Jarry has a 5-2-0 record, a 2.60 GAA, .911 save percentage and one shutout.
He is scheduled to start Wednesday’s home game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Koivunen landed on injured reserve Nov. 18 due to a suspected leg injury.
Primarily deployed on the third line, Koivunen has appeared in 11 NHL games this season and has two assists while averaging 12:34 of ice time per contest.
