Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry blocks a shot by Seattle Kraken’s Jared McCann (19) during the first period of an NHL hockey game in Pittsburgh, Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are scheduled to start goaltender Tristan Jarry on Tuesday night at home vs. the Vegas Golden Knights.

Coach Mike Sullivan revealed his starting netminder following the Penguins’ morning skate in Cranberry.

Jarry, called up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on March 3, will make his second straight start for the Penguins following a 30-save, 3-1 road victory against the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.

The win was Jarry’s first at the NHL level since Dec. 23. In it, he posted a .967 save percentage and collected an assist.

This year in the NHL, Jarry is 9-8-4 with a 3.20 goals-against average and .890 save percentage.

Jarry, in the second year of a five-year, $5.375 million contract, has struggled this season, resulting in split time between the NHL and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, where Jarry has made a combined 12 appearances, he is 6-5-1 with a 2.67 GAA and .908 save percentage.

Prior to being recalled to Pittsburgh in early March, Jarry had spent about six weeks in the AHL after the Penguins waived him Jan. 15.

After going unclaimed, he was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, making seven starts.

Notes: The Penguins recalled forward Matt Nieto and defenseman Sebastian Aho from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton under emergency conditions Tuesday morning. Per Sullivan, newly acquired forward Tommy Novak is sidelined day-to-day with an unspecified lower-body injury, while blueliner Ryan Shea is out week-to-week with an upper-body ailment. Sullivan reported no status changes for defenseman P.O Joseph, designated to injured reserve since March 3.
