Penguins to face Rangers in 2024-25 home opener

The Pittsburgh Penguins will face the New York Rangers in their home opener of the 2024-25 season Oct. 9 at PPG Paints Arena.

On Monday, the NHL issued a list of home openers for all 32 teams.

The Penguins will serve as the visiting opponent for two home openers: Oct. 10 against the Detroit Red Wings and Oct. 12 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A full schedule for the 2024-25 season is expected to be issued Tuesday.
