Drew Allar is expected to come back to Penn State for the 2025 season.
Allar, Penn State’s starting quarterback, has informed James Franklin and the coaching staff of his intention to return for his senior season in 2025, according to a Monday morning report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
The news of Allar’s return comes shortly after Penn State backup quarterback Beau Pribula announced that he will enter the transfer portal. Pribula will not be with the Nittany Lions for their first-round College Football Playoff game against SMU on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
Allar is 21-5 as Penn State’s starter over the last two seasons. This year, the former five-star recruit has developed into one of the best passers in the country under first-year coordinator Andy Kotelnicki. Allar has thrown for 2,894 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
