INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 50-60) lost 7-5 to Nashville (Brewers). 3B Malcom Nunez (.255) went 2 for 4 with a double and his fifth homer, a two-run shot. DH Domingo Leyba (.389) went 3 for 4 with a triple, his third homer, two runs scored and two RBIs. CF Ryan Vilade (.258) went 1 for 4 with a run scored. The rest of the Indianapolis lineup went 0 for 19. LHP Cam Allred (7-5, 5.14) started and went 5.1 innings, allowing six runs on four hits and five walks. He struck out eight. RHP Cody Bolton (4.03) pitched 1.2 scoreless innings. RHP Kyle Nicolas (8.70) allowed one solo home run in two innings.

Next: Saturday vs. Nashville (Brewers), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 50-53) got past Erie (Tigers), 3-2. RHP Aaron Shortridge (7-7, 4.77) pitched Altoona’s first nine-inning complete game since 2019, allowing two runs, one earned, on six hits. He struck out seven and walked none. DH Jacob Gonzalez (.230) went 1 for 3 with two RBIs. 3B Claudio Finol (.238) went 1 for 3 and drove in a run. RF Chavez Young (.224) went 1 for 2 with a double. CF Matt Gorski (.240) went 0 for 2 with two walks, two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Next: Saturday vs. Erie (Tigers), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 56-47) took care of Greenville (Red Sox), 5-1. 2B Jack Brannigan (.333) went 2 for 5, doubled and homered for the fifth straight game. Between Greensboro and Bradenton, he’s hitting .276 with 15 homers and 21 stolen bases this season. DH Brenden Dixon (.206) went 1 for 3 with his ninth homer. LF Jase Bowen (.263) went 1 for 5 with an RBI and two stolen bases, running his total for the season to 20. The Grasshoppers swiped six bags in the game. RHP Derek Diamond (2-0, 3.18) started and went five innings, giving up one run on three hits and three walks with nine strikeouts. RHP Valentin Linarez (4.82) and LHP Julian Bosnic (0.00) each pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

Next: Saturday at Greenville (Red Sox), 7:05 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 61-44) beat Fort Myers (Twins), 7-4. 1b Omar Alfonzo (.256) went 3 for 4 with three RBIs. SS Yordany De Los Santos (.217) went 2 for 4 and drove in a pair. 3B Garret Forrester (.278) went 2 for 3 with a run scored, an RBI and two walks. RF Deivis Nadal (.201) went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored. The Marauders stole nine bases, including two each for De Los Santos and DH Juan Jerez. RHP Wilber Dotel (4-2, 3.02) started and allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits in five innings. He struck out five. RHP Landon Tomkins (7.71) threw two scoreless innings and RHP Patrick Reilly (16.20) and RHP Darvin Garcia (7.61) each pitched a scoreless frame. It was Garcia’s first save.
