INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 58-64) held on for a 2-1 victory over Iowa (Cubs). RHP Max Kranick (0.00), rehabbing after Tommy John surgery, opened for Indy and allowed one hit and one walk while striking out four in 2.2 innings. RHP Kyle Nicolas (7.39) went 1.1 innings and only allowed a walk and struck out three. RHP Quinn Priester (8-3, 4.00) tossed five innings, allowing one run on two hits, one walk and struck out nine for the win. 1B Mason Martin (.269) went 0 for 4 but drove in a run on a groundout. RF Miguel Andujar (.345) was 1 for 4 with an RBI single. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.248) went 0 for 4 with a pair of strikeouts. 2B Jared Triolo (.297) went 1 for 3 with a single and a walk.

Next: Saturday at Iowa (Cubs), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 56-59) lost a 5-4 decision to Rome (Braves). 1B Matt Gorski (.236) went 1 for 4 with a two-run home run, his 16th, and a sacrifice fly. RF Joe Perez (.326) was 1 for 3 with a home run, his fifth. 2B Jackson Glenn (.289) went 1 for 4 with a triple and a run scored. CF Chavez Young (.211) was 1 for 3 with a double. Starter LHP Anthony Solometo (4.33) went five innings and allowed two hits, two runs, including a home run, and struck out five. RHP Justin Meis (4.99) of Bethel Park threw two innings of relief, allowing two runs on two hits, one walk and a strikeout. RHP Grant Ford (1-1, 4.58) gave up a home run in the top of the ninth and suffered the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 63-52) beat Rome (Braves), 4-1. 1B Josiah Sightler (.270) went 2 for 5 with an RBI single. C Wyatt Hendrie (.226) was 1 for 4 with an RBI double. 3B Brenden Dixon (.222) went 2 for 5 with a double. CF Tres Gonzalez (.287) finished 2 for 4 with a walk and a pair of singles. 2B Termarr Johnson (.206) went 1 for 3 with a walk and an infield single. RHP J.P. Massey (2-3, 3.81) started and went five innings, allowing one unearned run on one hit and striking out five for the win. RHP Ryan Harbin (9.22) came in to toss two scoreless innings of relief and struck out three. RHP Dante Mendoza (3.13) struck out three and walked one while allowing no hits in two shutout innings for the save.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 67-50) shut out Jupiter (Marlins), 5-0. 1B Omar Alfonzo (.241) went 2 for 4 with an RBI single and drove in a run via a walk. DH Lonnie White Jr. (.250) was 0 for 4 with a walk and knocked in a run on a groundout. LF Charles McAdoo (.361) was 1 for 3 with a double and two walks. RF Rodolfo Nolasco (.213) was 1 for 4 with an RBI single and a walk. RHP Wilber Dotel (6-2, 2.97) started and threw five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and five walks and striking out four to earn the win. LHP Yoldin De La Paz (5.84) tossed three scoreless innings of relief, giving up a hit and fanning five. LHP Miguel Fulgencio (7.27) struck out one in one shutout inning.
