Pirates to give away Mac Miller bobbleheads
The Pittsburgh Pirates will pay tribute to the late rapper Mac Miller by giving away commemorative bobbleheads during a game in July.
On Thursday, the team shared a teaser video on social media featuring a montage and the message, “This is for you, Malcolm.”
Miller grew up in Pittsburgh’s Point Breeze neighborhood and graduated from Allderdice High School.
In the video, Pirates fans passionately talk about how Mac Miller influenced their lives. The montage weaves together iconic Pittsburgh landmarks—Blue Slide Park in Squirrel Hill, Jerry’s Records, and Frick Park Market—culminating in the reveal of a Mac Miller bobblehead, dressed in a Pirates jersey.
