Veteran righty Wily Peralta will join the Pittsburgh Pirates for spring training as a non-roster invitee, the club announced Monday.

Peralta, 34, has a record of 56-61 with a 4.29 ERA and 16 saves over 258 games in his major league career, spanning stints with the Brewers, Royals and Tigers from 2012-22.

He spent last season with the Nationals’ Triple-A affiliate, Rochester, where he was 3-8 with a 6.31 ERA in 24 starts.

In addition to making 139 starts, Peralta has made 119 relief appearances in his major league career.

Peralta was among three non-roster invitees the Pirates announced Monday. The team opens spring training workouts Wednesday in Bradenton, Fla.

Fellow right-handed pitchers Connor Sadzeck and Brent Honeywell also will head to Pirate City.

Sadzeck is 0-1 with one save and a 2.75 ERA in 25 major league appearances with the Rangers, Mariners and Brewers. He was drafted by the Pirates in the 45th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft but did not sign with the club.

Honeywell was 2-4 with a 4.82 ERA in 40 appearances last season between the Padres and White Sox.

His father, Brent Honeywell Sr., pitched in the Pirates’ minor-league system from 1988-90.
