The spring semester started Monday at Pitt, and coach Pat Narduzzi welcomed 11 transfers and 14 early-enrolling freshmen to the football program.

The transfers include four from power conferences, with Narduzzi hopeful to get immediate help on both sides of the ball.

Sophomore defensive end Jaeden Moore (6-foot-4, 245 pounds) is transferring from Oregon and safety/linebacker Jayden Bonsu (6-2, 207) is coming from Ohio State. Wide receivers Deuce Spann (6-4, 208) and Andy Jean (6-1, 184) arrived from Florida State and Florida, respectively. Spann is a redshirt senior and Jean a sophomore.

The seven other transfers:

• Senior defensive end Joseph Zelinsky of Eastern Michigan (6-4, 250)

• Sixth-year senior defensive end Blaine Spires of Utah State (6-3, 230)

• Senior cornerback Rashan Murray of Cal (Pa.) and University Prep (6-2, 185)

• Redshirt sophomore offensive tackle Kendall Stanley of Charlotte (6-5, 290)

• Senior guard Keith Gouveia of Richmond (6-4, 305)
