Pitt forward Cam Corhen and guard Brandin Cummings will join coach Jeff Capel at the 2025 ACC Tipoff held in Charlotte, N.C., the Panthers announced Tuesday.

Third-year women’s coach Tony Verdi will be accompanied by guards Amiya Jenkins and Mikayla Johnson.

The women’s event will be held Oct. 6-7, with the men’s portion taking place Oct. 7-8, all at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown.

Corhen is one of Capel’s key returning players from last year’s squad, which went 17-15 (8-12 ACC) and declined all postseason opportunities after a one-point loss to Notre Dame in the opening round of the ACC Tournament.

Last year, he started all 32 games for Pitt, averaging 11 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting .635 from the floor.

Cummings got his feet wet as a true freshman, making 31 appearances (four starts) and contributing 6.3 points per game.

This season is Capel’s eighth at the helm in Oakland, with the Panthers’ last (and lone) NCAA Tournament appearance under him coming in 2022-23.

During the offseason, Capel added a number of players from the transfer portal in guard/forward Barry Dunning Jr. (South Alabama), guard Nojus Indrusaitis and center Dishon Jackson (both from Iowa State) and guard Damarco Minor (Oregon State).

Forwards Roman Siulepa and Henry Lau, guards Omari Witherspoon and Macari Moore, plus center Kieran Mullen comprise Capel’s first-year collegiate newcomers.

Along with Corhen and Cummings, forwards Papa Amadou Kante and Amdy Ndiaye are back in 2025-26.

Verdi led the Panthers to a 13-19 (5-13) record last season. Johnson was second on the team in points (10.9), while Jenkins, a Kentucky transfer, will look to rebound after her debut campaign at Pitt was cut short with a season-ending knee injury following only three games.
