Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi secured a verbal commitment Saturday from 2025 three-star prospect Max Hunt, a tight end at H.B. Plant High School in Tampa, Fla.

Hunt said commiting to Pitt was a no-brainer for him.

“I’ve known that Pitt is where I want to go for the past couple weeks,” he said. “I think the relationships I built with the coaches and how I fit in the offense made the decision easy.”

Hunt (6-foot-5, 220 pounds) has scholarship offers from 14 schools, including Pitt, Georgia Tech, Indiana and West Virginia. He is unranked by Rivals.com while preparing for his senior season.

Hunt is the seventh ‘25 prospect to confirm his commitment to Pitt, the third from Florida and the first tight end. Narduzzi tweeted a total of five notifications Saturday, indicating four more players have pledged to enroll next year. Commitments are not official until players sign letters of intent, beginning in December.
