Pitt secures commitment from Kentucky transfer defensive back Jaremiah Anglin Jr.

After losing seven players to the transfer portal since spring practice ended, Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi secured a verbal commitment Sunday from former Kentucky defensive back Jaremiah Anglin Jr.

Anglin was redshirted last year in his freshman season at Kentucky and will have four years of eligibility after he enrolls at Pitt.

At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, he may figure into the rotation at cornerback where Pitt is trying to replace starters M.J. Devonshire, A.J. Woods and Marquise Williams. Devonshire, who was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday, also transferred from Kentucky to Pitt.

Anglin graduated from Lake Wales (Fla.) High School in 2023, helping the team win a state championship.

He is the 13th player Pitt has added from the portal since the end of the 2023 season. They have lost a total of 18, but still are one over the 85-man scholarship limit.
