Daejon Reynolds has 43 catches for 505 yards at Pitt.

Wide receiver Daejon Reynolds, whose role in Pitt’s passing game diminished this season, decided to place his name in the NCAA transfer portal. Reynolds, 21, will have one season of eligibility.

Reynolds spent the past two seasons with the Panthers after transferring from Florida where he caught a total of 12 passes — two for touchdowns — in 2021 and 2022.

Although he finished eighth among Pitt’s pass catchers with 15 receptions for 189 yards, he made one of the biggest receptions of the season, a 40-yard touchdown amidst triple coverage during the fourth-quarter rally that resulted in a 38-34 victory against West Virginia. It was his only touchdown in two seasons.

For his Pitt career, Reynolds totaled 43 catches for 505 yards.

He joins running back Rodney Hammond, defensive tackle Nahki Johnson and center Terrence Moore among the most prominent Pitt players to reveal plans to enter the portal when it opens Monday.
