Football fans hoping to watch the Pittsburgh Maulers for the first time in nearly 40 years will have to wait another day.

The Maulers’ scheduled USFL season opener against the Tampa Bay Bandits on Sunday night was postponed due to the risk of severe weather in Alabama.

The game is now scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala. The game will be broadcast on FS1.

The USFL’s opening weekend featured four games. Saturday night’s opener between the Birmingham Stallions and New Jersey Generals, which was simulcast on FOX and NBC, reached a projected 3 million viewers across the networks and streaming platforms, USFL officials said.
