Report: Conor McGregor to return to UFC in 2020

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor will return to the octagon in 2020, according to reports.

Per ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, McGregor will face Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 on Jan. 18 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The fight is said to be a non-title welterweight bout that will headline the UFC event, according to Okamoto.

McGregor last fought at UFC 229 on Oct. 6, 2018. He lost to UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov via submission in the fourth round.

The Dublin, Ireland, native hold a 21-4 record and is ranked No. 3 in the lightweight division. McGregor is a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion.
